Amos W. Downes

Company F, 49th Illinois Volunteer Infantry

Amos W. Downes was born May 21, 1844 and died August 9, 1921. He enlisted in Company F of the 49th Illinois Volunteer Infantry. He was a member of GAR Post 629 and is buried in Richview Cemetery, Richview, Washington Co, IL.
